Maverick Club: At a height of 60cm (24in), The Maverick Club is the smallest among the three options. It weighs 4.5lb when empty, making it a great choice for beginners. However, it can be loaded with up to 55lb of weight, making it a challenging option even for the most experienced lifters. Additionally, The Maverick Club is versatile and suitable for single arm training, doubles training, and two-handed movements.

Maverick Torque: Standing at 80cm (31.5in) tall, The Maverick Torque falls midway between The Club and The Mace in terms of length. When empty, it weighs  5lb, and can hold a maximum load of 61lb. The extra 20cm (8in) handle length provides additional leverage, making it slightly more challenging to handle compared to The Club. The Maverick Torque is versatile and suitable for both single arm training and two-handed movements.

Maverick Mace: At a height of 109cm (43in), The Maverick Mace is the longest among the three options. While it weighs 5.5lb when empty, it can handle a maximum load of 66lb, or possibly more. This versatility makes it suitable for individuals of all experience levels, from beginners to advanced. With its extra length, The Mace provides even more leverage, making it ideal for mace flows, single arm training, and two-handed movements.

Bamboo is the fastest-growing plant on the planet, growing up to 15 times faster than other types of lumber, such as pine. Moreover, bamboo is easy to grow, renewable, and does not require any chemicals or pesticides, making it an environmentally friendly choice.

In addition to being sustainable, bamboo is incredibly robust and resilient. It has a higher tensile strength than several steel alloys, a higher compressive strength than various concrete mixtures, and a higher strength-to-weight ratio than graphite.

While it may be possible, using the Maverick Mace for slamming a tire is not its intended purpose. If you are interested in performing such an exercise, we suggest using a steel mace instead.

To optimize your training experience, we recommend using a 7lb mace for females and a 10lb mace for males. Since the Maverick Mace is adjustable, you have the flexibility to begin with a lighter weight to focus on perfecting your form, and then gradually increase the load as you become more proficient in training with leverage.

The Maverick Mace comes with 1 x 1lb bamboo block. However, the mace can be fitted with any standard 51mm (2in) weight plate that fits an Olympic bar.

The Maverick Mace includes one jaw lock collar to keep the weight plates in place. To ensure proper security, we recommend using one collar for every 18lb loaded onto the mace.

For instance:

  • 4lb-18lb = 1 collar
  • 18lb-36lb = 2 collars
  • 36lb-54lb = 3 collars

I have tested the Maverick Mace with a load of 66lb. However, it has the capacity to support additional weight, provided that one jaw collar is used for every 18lb loaded onto the mace.

Yes, the sleeve of the mace that holds the weight plates measures 50mm in width, while the handle measures 35mm. The space in between is tapered to enable smooth and seamless hand-to-hand transitions.
